About me
I'm an art historian wrapping up my PhD in Hispanic Studies at Western University (Ontario, Canada). My thesis project is the design of a database about painters in Colonial Mexico, which can produce data for social network analysis. Most recently, I have been working with a multidisciplinary team, Surviving Memory in Postwar El Salvador, creating an online map with data on civilian massacres during the Salvadoran Civil War (1980-1992) and recovering testimonies from survivors and displaced Salvadorans. I am interested in digitization, archival practices, material culture and memorialization processes.
